The Site
The site, which measures around 12.5ha (30 acres), is currently a commercial plum orchard. It is located to the south-west of the village to the north of Station Road.
The site has been planted as an orchard since the mid-1920a when it extended further to the north towards Wood End.
Over time, parts of the site have been cleared and re-planted with the central track running north-south.
